About Us: The Sometimes are a rock band. Our unconventional, original compositions are at once heavy, bluesy, and melodic and feature a relentlessly driving rhythm section, soaring and atmospheric lead guitar, and lush acoustic textures. Based in Fairfax, VA, the band serves as a showcase for the original songwriting of its members.
This past summer, we recorded a self-titled EP with Grammy Award-winning engineer Matt Shane (Flight of the Conchords) at the Converse Rubber Tracks Williamsburg Studio in Brooklyn, NY.
In early January 2016, we were selected to perform in the Jammin Java Band Battle in Vienna, VA sponsored by Aspire Presents.
Our CD release party for the EP will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Dogfish Head Alehouse in Fairfax, VA.This is one of our favorite places to perform. Craft brews, tasty food, and great atmosphere. Old and new fans can throw back a few cold beverages as we fire through some of our brand new material!

Energetic power chords and moderately raspy vocals produce a standout vibe..."
